Frequently Asked Questions
Do you do in-house kitting?
Yes, we do.
Do you do installation signage?
Yes, we do.
Can you lodge with Australia Post for distribution and complete mail merge?
Yes, we can.
Can you do life-sized cutouts?
Yes, we can. Router cut is available.
How long will it take for my printing to be completed?
This varies depending on the quantity and work involved. Every job is different! Generally, there’s a 5–7 day turnaround from artwork approval. However, we always go the extra mile when we can. We’ll do our best to meet your deadline.
What file format do you require for the artwork?
Artwork is best in a print-ready PDF format with a 3mm bleed. Multiple-page documents need to be supplied as single pages not spreads. A PDF keeps the file consistent when converting to print.
What image resolution is best?
What is bleed?
Bleed is an extension of the artwork size to accommodate for the trimming process.
What are the types of bindings I can use for multi-page projects?
To bind books and other multi-page documents:
Perfect binding – Gluing the outside edges of the pages together to create a flat edge.
Saddle-stitch binding – Using staples along the folds of the pages to bind them together.
Spiral binding – Wires in a spiral threaded through punched holes along the binding edge of the paper. This enables the document to lay open flatly.
Plastic comb binding – Much like spiral binding, this uses a tubular plastic piece with teeth that fit through rectangular holes punched into the binding edge.
Ring binding – Holes are punched into the pages and fitted into a binder (2, 3 or 4 ring).
Case binding – Sewing the pages together and then attaching them to a hardcover.
